Food Not Lawns Charlotte

Community over Monoculture

Who We Are

We are part of the international movement! With this chapter located in Charlotte NC, we focus on native permaculture while enriching our communities.

What We Do

We collaborate and cultivate ourselves through skill sharing, mutual aid, and empathy.

Why We Do It

The more knowledgeable we are, the more we can help each other: sustainable food support, rejuvenating environmental impact, and fostering connection.

About Us

Food Not Lawns advocates for community resiliency. By utilizing the outdoor spaces of our homes, we grow food to share with our neighbors instead of the wasteful status symbol of grass.

We offer teach-ins, gardening projects, seed/plant/tool swaps, and meetups of camaraderie in the metro Charlotte area.

Follow us on BlueSky, Mastodon, and RSS for our events and updates. We also have a Linktree for additional bookmarks and various resources.

Land Acknowledgement

We are located on the land of the Catawba Nation. To learn more about where you live, visit Native-Land.ca.
